Workshop Sessions

Preparation/Informational sessions have been scheduled.  The sessions will provide fellows with information on submitting your Visa application, required documents, vaccinations requirements, how to prepare for the journey and more!

All fellows are requested to attend ALL sessions under the "ADES Pre-Summit Workshops".  These sessions will have a continuation from the previous session to ensure everyone receives all the necessary information to prepare for the journey to Ghana.

Non-African Descent Fellows:
What is Our Role?

In this session, ADES Fellows who are not of African ancestry will convene to discuss how we answer the ADES call to action in our collective and individual work. We will go over details of our program in Ghana, particularly those that involve differentiated experiences for African-ancestry and non-African-ancestry Fellows, and work to articulate our mission and intention in a way that can translate into a more meaningful experience that leads to future action.

Please register for both sessions listed below:

ADES 2026 Fellows who do not identify as Black should attend this first meeting of the facilitated track for non-Black ADES Fellows. We will explore our roles and responsibilities within the larger mission and vision of ADES. This session will precede the general ADES Power of the Arts session and attendance at both is required.

ADES 2026 Fellows who do not identify as Black should attend this second meeting of the facilitated track for non-Black ADES Fellows. We will explore our roles and responsibilities within the larger mission and vision of ADES. This session will precede the general ADES Sky Full of Elephants discussion session and attendance at both is required.
